Why postpone your greatness? We are more

I am still reeling after Shane Koyczan's appearance at Vancouver's Olympic opening ceremony in which he delivered what many call a defining moment for Canadians with his poem "We Are More".

If you missed it, here is the poem he recited at the Opening Ceremonies.  (Note: If anyone can find the video from the ceremony, please share it in the comments)

Now if you are Canadian this gets your really jazzed, but for me it also made me think about "me".  We are more and why should we sit back and not put our best foot forward.

Why postpone your greatness?  There will never be a perfect time to live your dreams and step into the poetic possibilities your life was meant to be.  So why not take the leap today?  -- Daily Inspiration, Robin Sharma

Are you postponing your greatness?  If you are, that's ok, because it only takes a split second to make that change.  If you are taking the leap, well good for you.  Keep on rockin'!

If anything, I hope this post inspires you and reminds you of how great we all are.  Cheers and thanks for dropping by.

This is great! It also could be a reminder for Detroit. We can become something different but you have to believe first because sometimes Detroit is its own worst enemy. I also think it takes greatness to over come the fear of change.

Jamie, thanks for sharing the comparisons with Detroit. Probably why Stevie Y. enjoyed his time there so much.

Change does take leadership and greatness. But it can be done http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2009/02/change.html
